Welcome to the Coll Bunkhouse
Coll Bunkhouse is ideal for independent travellers, families and small groups, sleeping up to 15 persons (+ travel cots) across one mixed dorm of six, and two private rooms sleeping up to 3 or up to 6 persons respectively (each includes a double bed). It has level access and modern facilities throughout.
Whether you’re looking for an island adventure or a quiet place to relax, a warm welcome awaits you (and your pets – by arrangement). The beauty of Coll is that it’s a hidden gem amongst Scotland’s islands and away from the regular tourist trail. The journey to get here is amongst the most scenic anywhere in the world! Once you arrive, you can take your pick of over 30 stunning beaches to enjoy (you might be the only one there), go wildlife-spotting along the coast, take advantage of the fine food and drink available in the village, or join with the community in enjoying one of the many events taking place throughout the year.
Facilities
As you would expect for a modern hostel, hot showers are readily available, offering hot water all day long. All rooms have a wash basin, private lockers with ample storage space, and individual reading lights by each bed. Bed linen is provided upon arrival and towels can be hired from reception or requested when booking online. Free wireless internet is available throughout the building.
The bunkhouse has a fully-equipped kitchen complete with everything you will need to allow you to be self-catering during your stay. There is plenty of dining space to allow groups to eat together after a day exploring the island. The lounge makes a great space to socialise, stocked with books, games, plasma-screen TV (for dvds/external devices only) and comfy couches so you can sit back and relax.
The bunkhouse comes complete with laundry facilities and drying room, perfect for drying off those wetsuits and walking gear when the weather’s not so great (sometimes it rains!) or after a day at the beach.
The building has been designed to allow disabled access, including level access throughout, accessible car parking, accessible WC and shower facilities with grab rails and seat. We have one accessible bedroom and the kitchen, corridors and laundry room all incorporate space for a turning circle for wheelchair users.

We are happy to offer you a revised arrival date, where possible, as we do hope that you will have the opportunity to visit our beautiful island. The remote nature of our island means that we do not generally benefit from passing trade that can allow us to resell cancelled beds. Therefore, if you do not wish to select an alternative date, bookings cancelled less than 28 days prior to arrival may be subject to a charge equal to 10% of the stay, and bookings cancelled less than 14 days before arrival may be subject to a charge equal to the full booking amount.
If your ferry or flight to Coll is cancelled or fails to land then we are not able to offer a refund for your booking. Full rates are to be paid in the event of extended stays due to transport cancellation.
We advise all visitors to take out adequate travel insurance when making your booking.

All bedding is supplied. You can book a towel for a nominal charge of £2 for the duration of your stay, or you can request one on arrival.

You are welcome to bring up to 2 well-behaved dogs, but we do require your party to have exclusive use of a room. There is a small charge of £10 for the duration of your stay. Please note that for the comfort of other guests, dogs are not allowed in the living/dining area. However, they would not be far away in the entrance passage or just outside the patio doors enjoying the weather. The grounds are contained by gates and a cattle grid.
